PIHIPIIEGY It is the year 1960, and the biggest Alumni Homecoming Party in the history of Weir High School is in full swing, Guy Lombardo's Band is playing for the big occasion in the school's beautiful student center ballroom, Everyone is there from students who went to the school in 1940 to students now attending in 1960. French Burdine has come with his pretty wife. lTheir young son and daughter had to stay at home this time,j Wayne Bowie, who is standing silently by the door, recently won the Nobel Prize for his new Mathematical Theory about the Fourth Deminsion. Virginia Aus- tin, Director of the Language Department, is here with her husband, Billy Collum, one of the leading Educators in the nation, and his wife have just come in the door, Johnny Dean and Lela Adams are just sweeping in, Lela is wear- ing a beautiful sable coat, Johnny is a leading advertising executive, Jo Black is having a lovely time greeting old acquaintances, she has just given a series of lectures on journalism, and has just gotten back from a tour of Europe, Louise Clark has been talking to her. Louise, as you know is one of the top models in the United States. Glen Mills is going around looking at people and taking notes in a little black book, A Herbert Fulce tapped Peggy Childs' escort on the shoulder. We found out, that Herbert has been trying to court Peggy, since she became an engineering foreman. Juanita Dean and Wayne Ingram are over in the corner flirting again, Zelmer Jones, an undertaker, and Bobby Lacey, head of the Weir Recreation Department, are haveing a heart to heart talk, Bobby, who gives the boys a good workout, also gives Zelmer a good supply of customers. Bennett King is keeping his eye on David Mc- Daniel. The Reason? Bennett is now with the F, B, I, and he is invest- igating David. I hear that Homer Power has a new job as a circus clown, A Natural! Howard Starnes and Bill Martin have also made some records in speed boat racing and stunt flying, respectively, They have also caused a new record of squeamish stomachs, Donnie McDaniel, a prominent street cleaner, is helping to set the stage forthe floor-show, with John Nail, who owns a small r business, tuning pianos, Nadine Singleton is fixing the scenery, She kindly consented to fly down from Chicago, especially to arrange it. I Johnny Tullos is also putting in his two cents worth, He has a natural gift for arranging the indirect lighting: the bulbs must be well hidden. Alvie Threet, the well known stage actor, is giving a few pointers, too, We hear that Richard Vowell recently won an Oscar for his perfor- mance in The Great Lovers, F' Jolene Wade has her name in lights too as a gay chorus dancer, Now the spotlight is on Ozie Weaver a rising opera star, All we can say is The Metropolitan Opera isn't what it used to be! A little out of the ordinary but next on program is Beth Stevenson giving her interpetation of Shake Rattle and Roll, Next on program was Gerald Whitmire who took over as The Boy Juggler on Roller Skates. It really made us happy whenthe didn't miss once kv Last but not least was Bobby Parish, a rare wit and lay wright. After searching for many years, he found that this progession requires the least work, L Dean McAlpin just ran up on the stage, he didn't want to be left out because he has a few Words to say. Everyone is sitting down for a long stay because L Dean is known for his long windedness since he became speaker of the house in Washington, So on went the party and on went the .lives of the Alumni ---- we wish for each of them good luck and happiness. p H - Bobby Lacey
