C7 Seated: Dr. Robert Youens, President Catherine Gunn, Mr. Leon Mr. James Heger, Mr. Charles Trefny, Mrs. Laurene Hayward. Q gl Q? Q VW Hattermann. Standing: Mr. Jack Sanders, E K We members of the Board of Education of Weimar Independent School District are en- joying watching the growth of the new high school building and athletic facilities. Fall of '82 saw the Wildcat Football team playing in the new stadium, even though some of the facilities were incomplete. We were especially happy to initiate the new track and field layout. Both hometown supporters and visitors were complimentary of these facilities which our campus has never had. Just because the new high school building is an obvious improvement is no sign that the Elementary School and the Junior High School have been ignored. Both of these buildings and their respective campuses have been upgraded during the year so that the staff can do a more efficient job with the students. We are not only proud of our physical plant but of the staff of aids, teachers, and ad- ministrators who have helped raise the educa- tional standards of our school system. We feel that each student from Kindergarten to Twelfth Grade has had an opportunity to learn the basics plus from these instructors. Charles, Jack, Leon, James, Robert, Laurene, and I have enjoyed serving the students and the rest of the community as members of The Board. We hope to continue our efforts to form policies which will build an outstanding school system for Weimar. Catherine B. Gunn School Board President E
