SHBQEQREQEEQQLME ty My association with the Weimar High School students during the 1982-1983 School Year has been very enjoyable. That year is now past, and even though it holds many fond memories, we must look to the future. In that respect, I would like to share a few brief thoughts with you in relation to life. LIFE IS LIKE A SPIDER WEB! The poor spider has such a hard life. He builds and battles all day, every day. The web that he weaves is so fragile that even the wind will blow it down, and yet he depends upon it for transportation and his breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. The spider doesn't ever quit building. His well-being depends upon his ability to string his web in the right place and to keep it strung day after day. WHEN HE QUITS DOING WHAT HE DOES BEST, HIS LIFE IS OVER. We could all take some advice from the spider. He works hard. He does his job well. He is rewarded for his work. As students living from day to day, you are investing your time and talents in various things. Are the things you are investing in really important to your futures? Whatever you are doing had better be important! Each day costs you a day of your lives. As you build your webs, be sure they are built sturdy. Work hard each day to build your webs and maintain them. You will be rewarded accordingly. May you have continued success in all of your future endeavors. Wayne T. Wise, Superintendent Weimar Public Schools -M Sharing tall tales with the upper crust Sharing real stuff with the small fry 6 'i iii
