This is achieved through the usage of modern electric typewriters, electric calculators, stenography, data processing courses, and other necessary equipment to assure the students of a top-rate education Weequahic is one of very few schools in Newark so well supplied in the business curriculum The Business Department operates the Distributive Education program This is a two-year program for students interested in careers in marketing, merchandising, management, and advertising. In addition to classroom work in these areas, some students are given on the job training in their field of interest. There is also a diversified Work Experience Program that is run by the Business Dept The program is offered to business and non-business students Students are provided with employment in offices, factories, banks, etc. The type of occupations depend on the career interests of the student Most students in the programs plan to continue their education in college 20 PATRIC IA NELSON
