He works tire- lessly for the improvement of all phases of education in this county. Often his interest and sense of responsibility will prompt him to make an early morning visit to a school where repairs are needed or are in process. The sight of his blue Ford on an unpaved road, checking road conditions in bad weath er, is not unusual. He is actively affiliated with the outstanding civic organizations of the county and city, and has served as an officer in many of them. His church work is exemplary as he participates actively in the First Baptist Church and in the district association. 0 The County Board of Education is composed of a representative group including business and professional men and farmers working together as a group to keep the county educational machinery working smoothly. He is an active member of Salem Baptist Church, and teaches a Sunday School Class. As a member of the Lion's Club he has headed many worthwhile pro- jects for community improvement. With his family, Mrs. Morrisette and two sons, Don and Clay, he enjoys outings in his own Q originally-styled boat which plies the Pas- quotank River and its creeks in suitable weath- er. ln history class, on the sidelines at sports events, in his office, or at home, he is always interested in and wide-awake to whatever project is at hand. Mrs. Lee has served this year as the first school secretary. Her pleasing personality and efficient work have made the work of teachers and students easier and more enjoyable. Her work has included every- thing from keeping school records to bandaging hurt fingers. g lace! gddftddfg ' '1- Working closely with Mr. Morrisette, the school board, composed of Melvin Bright, Chairman, J. T. Fletcher, Julian Saunders, Marshall Stevenson, and Clyde Small, have the interest of the school at heart and make and execute plans accordingly.
