All right Mrs. Tinbergen, what's your excuse this time? SUPERINTENDENT The Superintendent of Schools, as the chief co- ordinator of the public schools, has many and varied duties. Mr. A. Wallace Gendron, the capable and effi- cient holder of this position, has become a respected and admired friend of the students at Weehawken High School. Although provided with a busy working day, full of the details that his position entails, Mr. Gendron finds time to maintain a personal contact with the students, conversing with them and exchanging greetings in the halls. It is evident that he takes a personal interest in the student body, realizing the importance of gaining the friendship, as well as the respect, of each student. BOARD OF EDUCATION To consider the welfare of an entire community in decisions directly affecting the education of its youth, is a vital task. The Board of Education is the organization which must assume this responsibility, adopting and carrying out the policies for the general operation of our school system. It is the foremost authority, within the town, in matters concerning the various aspects of school life. PRINCIPAL George Becker Principal Every organization, in order to succeed in its ultimate goal, must have a guiding force. We are fortunate to have such a force in our principal, Mr. George Becker. Mr. Becker is the man behind the organization and success of many aspects of our school life. His boundless enthusiasm and vital- ity have inspired us to try our best in all of our endeavors. So freely giving of his time in all activities, ranging from sports to proms, Mr. Becker acts not only in his capacity as principal, but also as a friend and helper to the stu- dents.
