tGZ¥ SUBJECT MATTER With admiration to the chiefs of our tribe, This verse we squaws and braves inscribe. Here ' s our salute to you worthy profs, Who have guided us since we were sophs. With lessons in history and current news, We learned to think clearly, developing views. Our reading tastes changed from comics to sonnets, Which added a feather to our Indian bonnets. Our musical activities and contact with art, Contributed culture, a most vital part. With German, Spanish, Latin, and French, Our thirst for languages we did quench. Hamsters and reptiles filled us with thrills, Our pockets were emptied by mammoth lab bills. Too many cooks don ' t spoil the meal, For we mixed it and stirred it and ate it with zeal. We recall typing keys that would usually stick, In steno we scribbled and hoped we might click. The physical ed. classes known better as gym, Produced stalwart braves and squaws sleek and slim. We probed into cosine, the circle, square root, And discovered the frequent trig quizzes to boot! We drew many a blueprint in mechanical drawing, And in shop we did plenty of planning and sawing. With your guidance we have matured, Our direction in life has been insured. We are sincere in appreciation, For your part in our education. [20]
