14,4 'am CS? - We, the Class of 1953, present with great pride, this yearbook to our fellow students and the community, as a record of many incidents, large and small, which have occurred throughout the school year. These bits of in- formation and snapshots portray our lives as they are today, and will become in the future, the treasured memo- ries of a wonderful year, We have spent many long, hard hours, collecting snapshots, soliciting ads, preparing dummies and meeting deadlines, in an effort to publish the finest yearbook yet known to Weedsport Central School. Without a doubt, the yearbooks to come will go on to be still finer and full of new ideas, but still we feel, as each class does, that never again will there be a book to compare with this, for SPARKS of '53 contains a bit of each Senior which he himself contributed. SPARKS could not have been made possible, however, without the guidance of Mr. Alfred J. Horrocks, rep- resentative of the Taylor Yearbook Company, who calmly sat through hours of questions and quibbling with the eventual result, being, we hope, the beginning of bigger and better yearbooks for Weedsport Central School, nor without Miss Geraldine Palmer, class and staff advisor, who contributed her time and energy, for which we will always be grateful, toward making this, as the rest of our projects, a huge success. The Staff wishes to thank these people and all those others who contributed in any way toward publishing this annual. Our one aim and hope is that this book serves the purpose of giving you as much pleasure by leafing through it, as we have had putting it together. The Editors
