Board of Education The senior class deeply apprec- iates the efforts of the Board mem- bers. The Board has had to make many decisions to make the best possible education available to us. Insufficient state aid and several defeats of the budget have added to their problems. The following members, (lower right photo). Dr. Kappel, Mr. Webb, Mr. Meade, Mr. Meyer, Rev. Runge, • and Mrs. Moody meet at least twice a month. They donate their services to the school district. This year we are especially grateful for their assistance. 4

this hook is opened. Adorned by memories, Bearing the name That titles this poem. One must ask...are we? ' ho is to say. For insanity and its guises Have never been defined. Traveling through a book That is bound by no dimensions. We see the many faces that We have shared this part of our lives. Drowning in a pool of emotions With every new page we see. Torn by every new thought. Revealing some treasured moments, Known only by those that shared them. The years speed fast Upon their path when Thought is their guide. Crazy isn't it? There's that word. But it's true in a way, For every year is wasted, But we always procure That fact too late. We look around us at the elements, With a crazy sort of sight. Yes, my friends. We are still crazy after all these years. Not because we thought we were outlandish. But because we had the quality To look upon the world lightly, And not taking it so. A final thought before The cover seals our past years. And the lone teardrop falls, STILL CRAZY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS Jarrett 77 5

Administration To the Class of 1977: Congratulations on being the twentieth class to graduate from Webutuck. The Class of 1977 has continued the very significant tradition of electing responsible and sensitive student leaders. Improving the quality of life at Webutuck has been a real concern of your class, and I am proud of the way you have welcomed our A.F.S. students. Many of you have indicated an interest in public service. Our nation desperately needs your ability and integrity. Sincerely, Myron J. Rindsberg Dear Seniors, As I look back over the years in thinking about the Class of '77 it seems only a very short time ago that I had just arrived at Webutuck and the Class of '77 were Just beginning the 9th Grade. Many of the boys who are now six footers were still shorter than some of the girls in the class. A number of this year’s outstanding Seniors hadn’t even arrived as yet. Most of the class were Just beginning to look forward to a distant adulthood. A great deal of change has taken place over the intervening four years. The physical changes are obvious ones. However, I have seen many more changes, even though more subtle, in maturity, attitude, poise and knowledge. Many who were, in terms of maturity, boys and girls in 1973 are poised adults in 1977. Some students who were constant discipline problems four years ago are now incredibly adult in their behavior. In many ways I have seen the Class of 1977 grow up over four years. I hope that graduation and the college or employment career that lies beyond will not see the end of that growth. There is much potential in your class. I wish you the very best of luck in achieving continuing growth and happiness. Sincerely, Jerome W. Cramp
