Lowell Hasel on graduatlon from the Un1vers1ty of M1Ch1g8H, where he stud1ed aero naut1cal eng1neer1ng, Lowell Hasel f1lled the pos1t1on of aeronautlcal re search sc1ent1st at the Langley A1r Force Base ln vlfglnla Soon after he began work there he was lnducted 1nto the A1r Force Enllsted Reserve at B1chmond Vlrglnla and worked for the rema1nder of the war years w1th the A A at the Langley A1r Force Base, develop1ng m111tary a1rcraft At the present t1me he occup1es the same pos1t1on of aeronaut1cal research sc1ent1st w1th the N A C A He 1S also a project eng1neer, sup erv1s1ng a cons1derable POFCIOH of the aeronaut1cal research conducted 1h the Langley four by four foot SUPCFSOHIC W1ndtunnel, one of the largest 1H the world Mr Hasel has wr1tten several technlcal reports based on the results of h1s research work He presented one of these reports 1n August, 1948 at an alrcraft des1gners conference held at the Ames Laboratory at Moffett Fxeld C8l1f0fH18 Lowell marr1ed h1s h1gh school sweetheart, Betty Pope, and they are now l1V1Dg at Newport News, V1rg1n1a He 1S the son of Mr and Mrs Fred Hasel of near Scotch Bldge, Oh1o , I N. .
