Athletlc Banquet An Athletlc Banquet wa held on Friday evening, April lO, in the gym This ports dinner, held for the first time this year, was given in honor of the basketball, baseball, and track teams, all of vhlch captured championshlp titles Coach Harold Anderson, of Toledo University, was the guest speaker Coach Anderson unheld the ports program ln the schools The development of dllivcnee, cooperation, good sportsmanship and enthusiasm, all OQSCDL1 l attrlbutes of a good player, will make a better citizen out of each boy hr Long expressed his ppreei tion to the teams for their fine cooperation all ye r and to the faculty and communlty for being such loy l f ns He then handed out the various medals which were earned during the season, after which e ch of the cant 1ns spoke Q few vords Mr Croll was to tm ster of the evening The banquet was prepared by the ladles of the Scotch Ridge Presbyterlan Church Faculty Christmas Party A faculty party x s held t the home of Mr and Mrs Croll pinocrle nd chlnese checker Ir Ploeher showed hls ab1l1ty s a c rd pl yer by walking off wlth first prize Miss Peitzel had second high score Mr nd Mrs Baker xere honored 11th the booby prize After an 6VuHlHc of fun, dellcious refreshments were erved The group tren gathered around a beautifully decorated Chrlstmas tree for the gift exehanrc Journall Conference The Northwe t rn Ohio High School Journalists were the guests of Woodward Hlgh School, Toledo, at a meeting heldcx1April 24 The delegates from Webster were Eleanor Schvisox, Marilyn Emmitt, Donald Vuhlman, and Marion Layman Mis Donnell and Mr Ploch r, who co sponsor the Skylight and the Web, accompanied the group -2 ........ .......
