ASSEMBLIES This year, Webster has had many interesting assemblies. Among these were three plays put on by the dramatics group and two musical pro- grams by the chorus and band. The students from Walton entertained us with an operetta. We also had several special assemblies. One of these was A Journey into the Forest with Mr. Henry Briggs, a naturalist, relating a story of wildlife and showing pictures. The Stewart's Indian Concert, with Mr. Albert Stewart explaining Indian sign language, dances, and songs, was also a very interesting assembly. We enjoyed a program by Kenneth Goodman, one of the worldls great organists, presenting clas- sical, semiclassical, and popular music on the portable concert organ. Last of our assemblies was The Marvels of Biology presented by Dan Murphy. Not. only the lecture was interesting, but the demonstra- tions were fascinating. Page Twenty-eight
