SKI TEAM This ye-or the Webster ski team was coached by Mr. Towle. Because of the late snowfall, the team had only two meets, placing second behind Rum- ford both times. However, they still showed tre- mendous strength and ability especially in the State Meet. Saturday, Feb. 15, 1964 Saturday, Feb. 22, 1961 Rumtord 397.7 Rumford 396.7 Webster 353.4 Webster 376.1 FRESHMAN BASKETBALL The 1963-64 basketball season saw the organi- zation of a new freshman league made up of teams from Auburn, Lewiston, Rumford, Brunswick, Lisbon, Augusta, and Bath. Auburn.'s team was. a combined effort by Webster and Walton under the direction of Mr. Vance Wills, an ELHS teacher. The team played a total of twelve games plus one with Win- throp and compiled a two wins, eleven losses record. 9th GRADE BASKETBALL CHAMPS First Row, left to right: Judy James, Alison Pratt, Patty Murphy Second Row: Nancy Goodwin, Diana Akerley, Judy Gower I NINTH GRADE BASKETBALL Ninth grade girls competed in intramural bas- ketball games. Captains for the teams were chosen by Miss Wright. They were as follows: Cathy Brook- er, Alison Pratt, Cheryl Gagnon, Donna Osborne, Pam McDougald, and Christine Fleckenstein, The games were played under the rules af double elimination. The final play-off was between Cathy Braoke'r's team and Alison Pratt's. team with Alison's teiam the win- ner. EIGHTH GRADE VOLLEYBALL The eighth grade girls competed in a series of volleyball games. Captains for the four teamswhich participated were Betsy Anderson, Donna Conant, Susan Brackett, and Dolores Bussiere. Each o-f the teams played three games. The results of the final playoffs showed Dolores Bussie-re's team, winner of all their games, in first place. Betsy Anderson's and Sue Brackett's teams captured second place. -Donna Conant's team placed third, ' SEVENTH GRADE DECK TENNIS The Seventh Grade girls enjoyed a very success- ful season of Deck Tennis this year.
