MAGAZINE DRIVE The major money raising event held by Webster Junior High School pupils this year was the magazine drive. Mr. Robert Sprague, a representative from Curtis Publishing Company, visited the school early in the fall of T963 to promote the sale of Curtis magazines. An assembly was held for the entire student body to brief them on the organization of the drive which was termed as very successful. The proceeds from the campaign were used for various school activities, such as sports equipment, educa- tional film strips, additional library facilities, and the assemblies provided by the School Assembly Service. A.V.A. CLU B 11963-641 lt is the responsibility o-f the Webster A.V.A. to develop an organization of service. Working be-hind the scenes to make our school'a more efficient and more beneficial place for all, these students contribute a great deal of time and effort toward this end. The students who make up this group are selected not by popularity, but by maturity and dependability. lt is our desire to promote better teacher-pupil relation- ships, along with a higher level of education through audio-visual service. 35
