CLASSROOM TEACH ERS' PRAYER Dear God and Father of us all: As teachers dedicated to teach Thy children We give thanks and beseech Thy guidance As classroom teachers of the world. Give us an understanding heart To know our fellow man That we may not wound or censure But always understand. Give us perceptive eyes that see A lonely one's distress, Eyes that look beneath the surface At every soul's realness. Guard our lips so that we speak, The best of friend or foe. ln every utterance, may we use The kindest words we know. Give us keenly attuned ears To catch the sweet refrain Of a stumbling human's foot-steps, As he strives on again.
