TIME 1965 SETTING Shamrock Hotel in Texas OCCASION Reunion of 1955 graduates of Webster High School The owner and operator of the big Shamrock Hotel, Robert witzany, informed me that the reunion could take place in his establishment I arrived early for the usual preparation I was greeted at the door by Mr witzany's head door man, Lewis Gatten Once again he flashed his familiar smile Just after I arrived a Northwestern Messenger Boy, Glen Brown, came with a telegram from Miss Patrice Enger telling us that she would be late as she had a concert appointment Soon all of the '55 Alumni started to arrive at the Metropolitan Opera Much to my surprise, who should walk in but Loueva Pope clad in mink and wearing very expensive jewelry She informed me that she had married an oil ty coon and was living in Alaska with Miss Pope was Ruth Mulroy, who accidentally ran into her on a street corner in Los Angeles and decided to accompany Loueva to the Shamrock Upon talking with Miss Pope I learned that Beverly Okerlund are hostesses for an airline Within a short time Richard Smith arrived in his Ford filled his high school dream about becoming an auto head of General Motors He also said he just didn't his old Ford mechanic, have the Irene Holmberg and He told me he ful in fact, he is the heart to part with Dennis Johnson and his old of a big brewery in Milwau high school sidekick, Knobby Norheim, are the owners kee Clifford Pardun has become a missionary Prior States he was traveling through dest Africa Alan Gustafson came in just then After talking with him for a few minutes, I found out that he is chief account ant for a lumber company Dee Ann Marquis and Mary Ann Bayless came in arm in arm Miss Marquis is a dancer touring Army camps Miss Bayless is scheduled to to his return to the United As we were seating ourselves, Tanny Dickman walked in He looked pretty rugged as he had just played football that afternoon Oh yes, he's star player on the Philadelphia Eagles team who should come in next but Tucker Cutler I heard a rumor that he is a professional freight train rider Jimmy Hanson is just waiting to become president Pat O'Br1en is a jet plane flyer in the Air Force He told me he got his start driving his Chev when he was in high school a trapeze mother of Renee Israels is taking advantage of her broad shoulders She's artist for Ringling Bros Barbara Jackson is content at heart as the three little kiddies and the wife of a farmer Beth Ingalls, Janice and Venita Orton are clerks at the Emporium in St Paul Madam darie Hokanson, Currey is a beautlcian specializing in changing hair colors Mildred Pelton is now mar ried and makes her home in Danbury Bob Gunderson decided he wanted to follow his Dad's footsteps, he's a bartender at the Stork Club Joyce Hills was one of the few patriotic girls cided to make a career can can dancer for T V commercials Bob Kimblom told me from the class She enlisted into the wacs and has de of it Darlene Wilson shocked us all when she became a he was a construction engineer and at present is working on an Atomic project in New Mexico Bill Kleckner is a professional debator Beverly Mansfield and her husband are running a chicken hatchery Ronny Sandahl said he hasn't accomplished much at all He's still home, he hasn't married, and he just ain't doin' nuthin' Arne Ardell and A1 Garbe are attending Vasser College for girls, these tricky fellas have an in with the Board of Directors who should come in next but Al Fisher Since graduation, his job has taken him to all parts of the world Violet Hall has married and has a record of the most children of all of the graduates As soon as the reunion is over, I'm flying back to Europe to join my husband who is stationed there Oh yes, I'm the wife of an Army Captain Sherry Rachner 7 entertain us tonight. If I recall right, they call her the second Martha Raye.
