CLASS PRCDPH ECY Seattle Washmgton Junel 1964 Dear Mr Horn Ten years ago when we had just graduated from Webster H1gh we prom1sed to wr1te to you Fate has been act1ng strangely To expla1n yesterday four hours before we were to take off on our next fl1ght to Seattle we met Joann Johnson who plays Wlth the Ph1lharmon1c Orchestra and Marg1e Johnson star f Lover G1rl wh1ch has been play1ng strong on Broadway for four years We spent an enjoyable two hours w1th them and learned that Pat Rodgers 15 a busy Soc1al SCTVICC Worker 1n New York We went to the a1rport to prepare for the next fl1ght Carol McKenna who IS now Mrs F.dd1e Phelps IS a famous woman Journal1st and was there on an ass1gnment to 1nterv1ew our p1lot R1ChaTd Welch You have probably read that Rxchard 15 scheduled to fly to the moon next month We also talked w1th R1chard and he told us that Lawrence Cvatten IS a travelmg salesman Cl1fford Haafa carpenter Raymond Thayer 1S Webster s new mort1c1an and the Conroy brothers own a ranch 1n Montana Wh1le adJust1ng safety belts we met James Ba1ley the d1st1ngu1shed novel 1St W1th James was Bernard Connor currently starr1ng 1n 'The Clark Gable Story Seated together were Hazel Hughes and Dolores Cockerham who are 1n the Wacs They told us that E1leen D1etme1er 1S teach1ng Phy Ed at Web ster H1gh The next seat held Harry Schnozzlepuss and Darw1n Schnookum doodle al1as Larry K1nblom and MHPVIH Er1ckson the modern day DeanMart1n coach at Webster Sh1rley G1ll1ngham and Janet Golden shared the next seat Sh1rley IS marr1ed and Janet 15 a profess1onal majorette Sh1rley told us that Betty Roskos 1S a successful beaut1c1an 1n Hollywood We were very surpr1zed to see Bonn1e Prell Powers model and Marg1e Gerber famous fash1on de s1gner on the plane Thomas Newcomb M D and h1s head nurse Marg1e H1n r1chs were also aboard We learned from Marg1e that Darlene Rachner 15 head of the Bell Telephone Co IS marr1ed and has a fam1ly The last seat held M1Ck6y Sears and h1s br1efcase M1ckey IS now a very famous lawyer We brought our passengers snacks and magaz1nes and glanc1ng at the Ch1cago Sun T1mes we not1ced that John Love 1S 1ts ed1tor There was also an art1cle by Evlyn Phelps noted food expert ent1tled Twenty Ways to Serve Pea Soup The fl1ght was over before we knew It and we dec1ded to eat d1nner We stopped at Percy s ltal1an Foods and talked w1th the owner Pr1sc1lla Rogers Madel1ne Mulroy 15 head wa1tress there From Percy s we went to hear the famous Pardun Band led by Jerry h1mself w1th R1chLarrabee as star trumpet player As we were leav1ng we met Dorothy Ovre and she told us that she IS a psycholog1st and Iada Coleman 1S a commerc1al teacher at Webster H1gh So 1n less than two days we saw or heard about all of our former class mates Fate certa1nly has strange ways' Well now to bed an a1r11ne hostess needs lots of sleep Smcerely Al1ce Makela Mary Petersen . . , .
