With many ofthe band students graduating last year, it decreased our band considerably. The band participatedin the Homecoming festivities which was held October 19. The basketball and football games found the band doing their part to help cheer the boys to victory. The annual Christmas Concert was presented December 16. lt was one of the nicest, due to the fact that it was presented in the new gyrnnasiurn. On February 5, the band went to Milltown to participate in the Clinic. In the afternoon, the Massed Band held their concert which included bands from neighboring towns. In the evening, the All-Star Band performed. Three fortunate people were chosen to be in it. They were: Joann Johnson, Gayle Larrabee , and Dorothy Ovre. We gave our annual Spring Concert and then prepared to go to Rice Lake , where we were judged. We had avery pleasant and enjoyable year and hope it is as successful next year. We were very fortunate and also very pleased as we were able to obtain robes, for which we had waited so long. We received them in time for the Christmas Concert. Our Christmas Concert was a big success, and we were all proud that we could wear our new robes. We had decorated the new gymnasium in the holi- day spirit. We sang six numbers, and concluded by singing Silent Night with just the candles lighting the gym. ln March we attended the Choral Clinic at Balsam Lake and went to be judged at Rice Lake in April. At the beginning of the year a girl's triple-trio was organized. They sang at various events throughout the community. We all practiced very hard for our public appearances, and also sang for our own enjoyment. Sponsored by RUEB'S OUTBOARD MOTORS and KAUFMAN'S STORE S51 .
