This wfs the second state title in the history of the school and the third time in the history of State HBH tournaments that a team has been champion two years. Harvey Hanson tossed in the winning basket with ten seconds left to play to make the score 44 to 42 and repeat the thrill- ing last-second victory over Platte's Black Pan- thers for the second straight year. The other teams that went down before the Bearcats were Deadwood with a score of 51 to 28, and Eureka in the final game which ended 33 to 25 in favor of the Bearcats. G X 1 'va ' Assistant Coach Adel Coach HOU-'K The Bearcats had a very successful season, win- ning the conference tournament for the third consecutive year, placing third in the Northeast Conference standings, and winning a berth in the State tournament by taking the District and Re- gional tournaments. In the District tournament, the Websterites defeated Groton, Butler, and An- ,f f Q 1 ' 1 7- dover to go on and take the favorites, Sisseton, Soyland , to the tune of 55 to 40, and Vienna by a score of iii- 13 50 to 34 in the Regional.
