The action takes place in the McBride home just outside of New York City on an early spring day. Stan McBride is a young radio actor who is known for his Sherlock Holmes portray- als. His Dr. Watson is known as Roy Bishop. Stuart Brownlie is the sponsor of the Sherlock Holmes program. He is to be a guest at a tea given by Mrs. McBride as well as Betty Archer, a radio reporter, and Mr. Putnam. Complications and mystery follow the presentation to Stan of an anniversary gift of a cigarette case. Soon arrive George Spencer, Madeline Revelle, Whitey Nelson, Barbara Field, and Mrs. Slater, each desiring to secure the cigarette case. The law is represented by Slim Lynch, a deputy sheriff. Pauline is the maid whose hobby is the collecting of weapons--a handy person to have in the house. CAST Stan McBride ..... Charles Card Mrs. McBride . .Catherine O'Connell Roy Bishop ....... A circus theme served as the setting for the annual Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom held on the eleventh of May in the high school auditorium. The red and white streamers strung from the ceiling formed a huge tent with an archway through which the guests and workers passed with a ticket stand beside it. The tables at which the guests ate surrounded the three-ring circus acts. A miniature ferris wheel and merry-go-round run by electricity stood on one side of the tent. A punch stand was in one corner of the tent with a pop- corn stand and two large animals in opposite corners. The eight waitresses were dressed as ballet dancers in white outfits with red-and-white striped satin trimming and a red-and-white striped hat to match. There were four boys dressed as clowns in huge suits covered with large polka-dots and a peaked hat to match. Mike Gibbs and his orchestra played for the dance. Featured on the dance program was one dance dedicated to the junior mothers. Mrs. Paul C. Underwood acted as toastmistress, intro- ducing the program which included a welcome by Ruth Lakin, junior class president, response by Leroy Enge- britson, senior class president, a trombone solo by Jay Wickre, two selections by the majorettes, and a vocal solo by Frances Hallstrom. The Senior Class Will and Prophecy were read. Superintendent Harvey Q3 Newman concluded the program with a farewell to the seniors. fd S Buds Blee Bowls Dlee Hazel Clioavs 'G' B684 Q-5: 10 QP vs, nf?
