Homecoming festivities opened on Thursday evening, October 19, when Catherine O'Connell was crowned Princess of Tom Tom Day by Leroy Engebritson, chosen Mar- shall by the NWN Club. The cere- mony, carried out in the Indian theme' was high-lighted with a band concert, vocal selections by the Girls' Glee Club, an Indian dance and a pep rally in the gym- nasium. Following the ceremony, a bonfire was lighted on the ath- letic practice field south of the school house, and a pep rally was conducted by the cheerleaders. On Friday morning, a parade of floats led by the band started the festivities. In the football game during the afternoon, the Webster Bearcats defeated the Redfield Pheasants 14 to 6.
