Two new members, Nelda Christensen and Adeline Monshaugen, increased the squad which already was composed of Bette Berg, Alice Happe, and Lois Palm to five members. The Webster High School Band, under the direction of Mr H B Ashbaugh is composed of fifty-six members. A number of programs were given this year. In the fall, the band played on Armistice Day. It also partici- pated in the coronation ceremony on the eve of Homecoming Day, and led the Tom Tom Day Parade. The Spring Concert was presented in April to show the public the work of the Music Department, to raise money for the purchasing of music and to pay the expenses of the festival. The highlight of the year was the Music Festival held at Redfield April 2, at which the combined bands of the Redfield and Webster High Schools partici- pated. The pepband played at the basketball games. Mr. Ashbaugh certainly deserves a lot of credit for his fine work in building up and directing the band. Ash ball SZ
