R. Hagen Card Engebritson Co-Captains .-x1- . ' 'EE The 1945 Football season found the Bearcats coming out with five wins and two losses to put them third in the North- east Conference. Hampered most of the season by injuries to many key players, the grid machine amassed a total of 104 points to their opponents' 57. In the first game of the sea- son, Webster defeated the Ab- erdeen Reserves 59 to 7. Next by defeating Britton in a thrilling game 14 to 7, the Bearcats chalked up their first conference win. Then, despite injuries, the Webster f Eleven put up a strong fight against Milbank, the Confer- ence Champions, only to be turned back 27 to O. Webster lost the next game also. Play- ing with a makeshift backfield, the Cats bowed to the ! lf ggi? 2 is Bl C.
