CNCLHC 3Qis as Q50 in ., GUIDANCE EHW , ,l- SLC Webster High is one ot the few schools in this area which has a iucliciary branch ot its student government. The students are given the responsibility ot disciplining themselves under an Honor System. This system provides for a Student Guidance Council and an Honor Code. The Council was reorganized this year using the suggestions and ideas brought out in assemblies and student discussions. The membership, pow- ers, and specific rules were set down in a Constitution. It is hoped that these changes and additions will continue to maintain the respect, support, and enthusiasm of the students. The members ot the Council endeavored to explain to violators ot the Code, the privileges and advantages ot the Honor System. With its penal power the Council seemed to be etlective in preventing otlenses and in discouraging possible offenders. Guy Mellor, student vice-president, presided over the Council which con- sisted ot three members from each class and the student president, Denny White.
