The sohpomore year was the nrst time for many experiences in the lives of the tenth- graders. lt was in this year that they first voted for kings and queens. joined senior school clubs. and ate lunch with the mighty seniors and the almosthas-mighty juniorsf 'lihey voted lor senior school president. had lockers in the senior building, and had study periods in the Big Study Hall. ln spite of all the unappre- ciated responsibility and the increase of home- work, the sophs loved every minute of their short year in the tenth grade. The ninth and tenth Grade dramatics club was something new this year It was started by the Thespians for those younger students who were interested in dramatics and the giving of plays A meeting was held uery other Mon day at which there was usually entertainment of some sort. Occasionally after meetings re- freshments were served. Crazy Cricket Farm , a play in three acts was the first production given by the Spotlight- ers. A program was also given at the old folks' home when they presented two one-act plays. A cast party was held afterward.
