DEDICHTION To Mr. Ralph W. Martin, principal of Webster Central High School, we dedicate our 1958 yearbook. Directly or indirectly Mr. Martin has influenced the lives and activities of every one of us. With sound judgement he has aided us in solving our problems, both large and small. With wise counsel he has guided us on our educational journey, guard- ing us against too hasty a take-off and encouraging us to lay a sound foundation by adequate prepara- tion before we launch ourselves into the future. When, in adult life, we are called upon to cope r with difficult situations, we shall remember his sense of fair play, his willingness to hear both sides of a question, and his kindly advice, often given by means of a humorous illustration. We shall be mo- tivated by the high ideals which were the basis of his policies and which were often expressed in the short inspirational messages which he included in the daily announcements on appropriate occasions. May his guiding influence, which we treasure so highly, continue to affect the education of W C S students for many years to come. l

Their willingness to see the need for an im- proved educational plant with new buildings, an enlarged faculty, and ca- pacity for expansion is evidence of this. We who have benefitted by the ad- vantages offered here are indeed grate- ful to the Board of Education for their wisdom and to the community for their generosity. Mrs. D. Elliott, Mrs. J.
