In student activities-these included sports, the various clubs, the DOLPHIN and the WEBER NEWS, socials-you contributed your bit to make the year an eventful and memorable one. Indeed, without your help, nothing could have been accomplished. You ARE Weber High School. You are affiliated with North Central Associa- tion of Colleges and Secondary Schools, University ot Illinois, and State of Illinois Department of Education. lage-1 0,1 DIN OI' ll H llll Iaha Ull fninr Q,-1 Q is A 1 f Q' Q Z 1 -'1 . In doing so we add our humble tribute to the recognition given by the members of your Congregation when they chose you Superior General ot the Order as a reward for your work. X Many men shall not forget the things which you had so unseltishly taught them when you were Rector of the St. John Cantius Seminary. These men shall instill the love of God and Country in their fellow man according to the principles you had instilled in them. IQQU. .sandy EOM, CIQ Prznfzpaf Principal since April 1942, the Rev. Stanley Fiolek. CR. left Weber at the end of the first semester to assume the duties as pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. During his principalship The Weber News and The Dolphin were brought back to life. The enrollment grew from two hundred students to the present five hundred. During his regime the school, furthermore, made great strides in athletics and scholarships. Page 8 RW. ollouifi ju5in.4Li, lgrincipaf . The opening of the second semester found the Rev. Louis A. Tusinski, CR, at the helm of Weber High School. Before taking over the task, he was a teacher at the school for four and a half years. Father Tusinski received his Bachelor of Arts degree at St. Louis University in l936. He continued his studies at the Pontihcal Gregorian University and in 1940 re- ceived the degree of Licentiate of Sacred Theology at the Catholic University of America. Undoubtedly the most renowned club at Weber High School was the Monogram Club. lts members were leaders not only in sports but also in such social activities as the Annual Football Dance. The Rev. G. Palubicki, C. R., the moderator, made the club an active and popular organization. One major monogram, a vote of acceptance of the present members, and the oath were the only requirements for membership in this exclusive club. Page T8 A 'W K .1 ' Z El i 'Y , f .
