Began teaching career in Weber County and for the past eight years taught industrial arts at Weber. , Once coached the football team. W Was a past president of Weber County Teachers Association, and for three years a member of the 1 board of trustees of Utah Teachers Welfare Associa- tion. I . Died, October 19, 1953. im' I l I . A It wa s characteristic of V Harry Parker to attend the Og- ' Q den-Weber baseball game and ' to come to graduation exer- i cises last spring when pain and disease prevented him from getting out of his car. - It was characteristic of him also to tell a ioke and use a bit of sarcasm-and this, he ' did to the end. - lt wa s characteristic of Harry, too, that a week be- fore he died, he recorded a . In this talk his sincere interest in the success of Weber High School was so evident that we paid tribute to him by maintaining complete silence during the rebroadcast of his words-and, evidently sensing that they were almost the last words and last thoughts of a heroic dying man, we did not applaud-iust quietly and respectfully listened. 5
