STUDENT COUNCIL iii Mrs. Draayer, Patsy Pollard, Lee Lalli, Dolores Bingham, Delsa Davis, Mr. Metcalf, Shirley Dean, Faun Patterson. Della McEntire, Dona Smith, Mr. Ward, Karma Wangsgard, Eleanor Ross, Olene Smith, LaVere Campbell, Maxine Dabling, Clifford Lee, Robert Tucker. Darrell Firth, Dee Wallace, Darrell Tucker, Fred Johnson, Don Hales, Gerald Stanger, Quentin Jenkins, Dale Hansen, Burk Clegg, .lay Shepherd, Seth Blair, Val Hancock. The Student Council has the power, among other things, to supervise and promote interests in the extra-curricular activities of the school and to make and enforce any rules necessary for the betterment of the student body, its life, or interests, During the year, the Student Council sponsored many activities, such as the Get Acquainted Party , numerous assemblies at Weber and at other schools, and several dances. Their final responsibility was the supervision of the elections for the Student Association Officers for the coming year. The otticers, especially, worked diligently with officers of other organizations and with faculty members to promote interest in all school activities. Fifteen

Miss Newman-fAids the girls who desire to become shapely Susies. Enjoys music and modern dance, also sports such as tennis and swimming. Looking into her private life we find her secret desire is to be A. A. U. swim- ming champion. Miss Bates-This sewing teacher who keeps the girls in stitches is fond of sleeping, sewing and reading. Mr. Hadlock-lf you are interested in our country's situations and problems, Mr. I-ladlock will be glad to discuss them with you in American Problems. l-lis pet hobbies are gardening and book reading. Mr. Jen- kins- Familiar to iuniors in American History. His classes are enioyable for the simple fact that he enioys his teaching. Likes athletics and all school functions. Mr. RussellAWell known for his interesting and enjoyable American Problems classes. The recreations he values most are fishing and hunting.
