G Archi LD Webe Ut3 WEBER STATE Ogden, Utah Class of '79 1 kJi 2 We came to Weber State to meet new friends; study and have a good time and we left having found what we were looking for . . . Knowing it nas made a better person out of us. As another academic year concludes, many of the students at Weber State College will bo receiving their certificates of completion and diplomas. In the years im- mediately ahead, some will be Imersed in the world of work”, some will be continuing their studies at graduate school, and some will be involved in the formation of families and in the management of households. Some will be using thoir energies in civic and cultural activities. As the years and decades pass, most of us will shift our involvement considerations from one activity to another, searching for opportunities to make further contributions to our society and looking for additional ways to enrich our lives and make them more satisfying and useful. Most men and women, as they progress through a life of varied activities and in- creased responsibilities, will periodically roflect back upon their years of prepara- tion. These reflections often focus on memories of college years, of happy events, of oxciting activities, and especially of special friends. As the past becomes more dis- tant and as ones memory becomes more dim. often a name or a picture of a face or evont enables one to recall, then enhance with vividness, images from the past. Hopefully this volume will not only onable you to rolive often these college years but also maintain closer ties to your classmates, to your friends, and to the college. Rodney H. Brady W.8.C. J 28 Throughout this past year the ASWSC Executive Council has pursued goals that have given student government new dimension. Along with a new college administration has come increased opportunity for students to serve and to participate in decision making processes. Student government thus has not merely performed the function of providing for social needs, but has had increased responsibility in representation. We have also ex- pended a major portion of the ASWSC budget pursuant to emphasizing academic excellence among students. We have come to know the greatness of Weber State. This stature exists because of it’s people. Our sincere thanks goes to the students, members of the faculty and staff, and administrators who have diligently worked to better this institution. We are grateful to have been colleagues in the process of education. We extend our best wishes to the class of '79 and to the future of Weber State College. Greg L.
