DANCE COMMITTEE Standing: Goddard • Williams • Lindquist • Maher S«m Jg:Francis-FnulhaberBlaes-Polidor. The Dance Committee's active finger is in the pie of every Weber College dance, and that’s a good many pics. Dean Williams, who certainly gets around, is the chairman of this committee. Details of time, theme, music, and decoration are con- sidered by the group. FOUNDERS’ DAY January sixth. Founders’ Day, featured the Vocational Building dedication, a Gilbert Tolhurst drama, and a Whip Club dance. Senator Ira A. Huggins did the dedicating, Weber students did the dramatising, and everybody did the dancing. ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE Standing: Pierson • Allred ’Young Anderson.Sitting: Edwards-Rich- ards-Lindsay-Barrows-Watts. When seven hundred students shove expectantly into an audi- torium, something’s got to happen. It’s up to Whitney Young and his assembly committee to see that something does. He schedules the assemblies of various talent- rank clubs and organizations so that we don't get more soprano than wc can take at one sitting. So far we haven’t.

Consisting of the student body presidency, the presi- dents of the two classes, and three faculty members, the Board of Control comprises a combined supreme court and congress. On the outcome of their heated bickering hinges the destiny of us commoners, for they make and break our laws. And they do a swell job. A. M. S. Sweeney-Goddard -Toyn The Men’s Association is an organization of, by. and for the Weber male. Val Goddard, who is best described as a cross between Tyrone Power and Harpo Marx, runs the association with the help of a small unified council. This group can be credited for the Men’s Outing and blamed for the Beard-Growing contest. WOMEN’S COUNCIL Standing: Mi tchel I • Hay den- Fou I ger Squires • Briem • Ensign • Doxey Middle row: Smith • Moore • Reeve Herbert - Bybee • Wilson • Smith Front rou;;Eyre-Lindquist-McComb Madsen Hie women’s council is a group of girls who have the personal welfare of every girl in the school in their mind. Their motto is for a better student body of girls and they’ve done an admirable job. Under capable student and faculty super- vision they have a lot of successful functions behind them this year. PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE Reeves-Rogers-Burton- Lindquist The publications committee keeps tab on the schools literary achievements and strives for uniqueness in this field of endeavor. In this respect it has l ecn efficient and effective as our publications will attest. Much of the credit belongs to this group for the progress that the school has seen in this department.
