GIRLS BASKETBALL '27 Back Row 1 to T Nangansy, C Nelson, V Wilcox Mrs Comer, A Driver, E Jeffrey, D Thrun Front Row 1 to r L Paetsch, S Webster, G Adams J West, L Look, I Foreman Our basketball team has done a more than satisfactory job so far this season Under the coaching of Mrs Phyllis Gomer, we have been defeated only once and have had four vlctories and two ties We played our first game with Gaines We tied them with a score of 25-25 Next we challenged Dewitt and de feated them, 42 32 Our next victory was over Byron, 45 27 The second tie of this season was with Laingsburg 18 18 The first loss of the season was at Gaires The score was tied at 27 27 when, in the last few seconds of play, Gaines made a basket, then, along with a free shot, the final score was 27-30, in favor of Gaines. We still have high hopes of winning a trophy.

We lost only two games, one to Laingsburg and the other to Perry--both at the beginning of the season. We ended the season as the League Champions. This year's team will be without three of its last year's regulars. Ken Nelson is the only moundsman back for tnis year However, we are expecting many new players to come out for the team this year, and are looking forward to another good season
