CLASS PROPHECY On this, the twenty second day of Lay, nineteen hundred and sixty, we take the liberty of looking a- head into the lives of our classmates, to see what they are doing after eight years Looking in on Rosie Aubuchon we see she is settled in her own little home with the patter of little feet all around her Dean Baughman we see he is still running around in his 'hot rodn, thrilling all the girls for miles around Marjorie Botsford we see she is still making her regular trips to Williamston on the Greyhound bus Elaine Cox we see her running an orphan home, and of course she has a few orphans of her own Leland Crandall we find him on K P duty, he's pretty handy at peeling potatoes Bob LeRoy we see him still in the Navy, and of Lorraine Paetsch we find her running her own radio program, and she is now classed as a 'top notchn entertainer Auburn Perkins we find him on h1s knees making his sixth proposal, he's hoping the answer is Nyes Wmil Schlager we see him as Professor Emil Schlager He is now receiv1ng the same treatment from his students that he once gave his teachers Kenny Vorce- we find him still complaining about the condition of his car as he takes his family for a Sunday drive Gary Whitford we find him still tryin? to make up his mind which girl he wants He'l1 be a bachelor yet' - 1 course he has a girl in every port. The name of the play was WMe and My Shsdowng it was a three-act play, Mr. Floyd Austin directed the play and did a very good job. Four Senior boys and four girls took an acting part in the play. A Junior girl, Arlene Driver, was used to complete the cast. The other Senior boys were the prompters, stage managers, and sound effects men. A party was held after the pley on November 16th The Seniors, Mr Austin and hrs famlly, the ushers, and people who entertained between acts were present Refreshments were served and records were played for dancing The play took a lot of hard work but was fun We, the Seniors, wish to tahe this opportunity to say to the future Sen1ors, HGood Luckn WHL LNTIRL CAST J11112n Fnters... We attended the Festival at Dockstader, Baritone Flute: Connie Neleong West, Sharon Wilson, Doris Laingsburg on December 5 1951. The adjudicator complimented us on our playing. He told us that our attack was clean, and that we played well together. He also said that the band had good spirit while playing. The Band Boosters have helped purchase a tape recorder for the school, and they bought ue some new band music We appreciate the kindness and patience Mr. Ritter has given ue. We lost only two games, one to Laingsburg and the other to Perry--both at the beginning of the season. We ended the season as the League Champions. This year's team will be without three of its last year's regulars. Ken Nelson is the only moundsman back for tnis year However, we are expecting many new players to come out for the team this year, and are looking forward to another good season GIRLS BASKETBALL '27 Back Row 1 to T Nangansy, C Nelson, V Wilcox Mrs Comer, A Driver, E Jeffrey, D Thrun Front Row 1 to r L Paetsch, S Webster, G Adams J West, L Look, I Foreman Our basketball team has done a more than satisfactory job so far this season Under the coaching of Mrs Phyllis Gomer, we have been defeated only once and have had four vlctories and two ties We played our first game with Gaines We tied them with a score of 25-25 Next we challenged Dewitt and de feated them, 42 32 Our next victory was over Byron, 45 27 The second tie of this season was with Laingsburg 18 18 The first loss of the season was at Gaires The score was tied at 27 27 when, in the last few seconds of play, Gaines made a basket, then, along with a free shot, the final score was 27-30, in favor of Gaines.
