PROPHECY New York City, June 2, 1954 DEAR MARIAN: No doubt you will be surprised to hear from me, but I have been thinking of the good times that we used to have in dear old B.l'!.S., and I presume you will want to know the things I have learned during my recent tour of the country, concerning our old classmates of those never-to-be-forgotten days. So much has happened in the past IO years since we left B.H.S. james and Betty were married soon after her graduation. They were content with their little bungalow and Hiver until Betty started out after a career -Poor James! Oh! Yes, I must tell you about Ora and Audrey Faye! They have organized a Spinsters' Club in an old haunted'l house in Chicago, and are also the proprie- tors of a second-hand clothing shop and from all reports are doing well! Margaret has achieved her ambition to be an old man's darling, and is now married to a rich man who is twice her age! Billy, who now is a daring aviator, recently perfected an important invention applicable to all flying machines, which Norway has purchased. Eva Swartzlander is now the world's champion typistg guess how fast it Was- yes, 286 words a minute with only 50 errors! Howard is janitor in Union Station, St. Louis, and is now drawing a salary of SI,5OO a year as President and Chief janitor of the Janitors' Association of the World! Also greatest comedian of the world. Bud Green is chief instructor in the deaf and dumb school at Jacksonville. Roy Willianis is the coach for the Centralia team now, they have lost no games since he's been there-they are to play Howard soon! Say! By the way Marian, I want to congratulate you on your revised edition of Webster's Standard Dictionary. Paul is a Holy Roller Preacher and Loren De-Iournett plays the piano for him. They have been all over the country conducting services. Yes, you should see Loren and jackie's family now, two girls and a boyg and are they dolls! Loren is still working on the railroad as clerk. I hear that Louie Davis is doing wonderful missionary work in China and that he has converted ever so many of the natives ! That certainly is commendable. I guess you knew that I started out to be a stenographer, but was offered a more lucrative position as model for Milton Webster, the famous cartoonist! As my work is calling me, I must close. Let me hear from you soon. Sincerely, ROSIE MILLER. The 1944 Web 13 W
