Carl Lane's seriousness to Harvey Tyler. David Ford's personality to Mary Watkins. Henry Jackson's quietness to Freddie Meyer. Robert Henry's romantic ways to Leo Green. Clarence Peytonls ability to argue to Donald Smith. To our teachers we will the following: To Mr. Power, one of the best-behaved and most industrious student bodies in the state. To Mrs. Power, a year's subscription to the Reader's Digest. To Mrs. Petitt, the courage to direct another Senior play. To Mr. Samford, a book of jokes-he certainly knows how to put them over. The 1943 Web PROPHECY In this rapidly changing world, we pause to glimpse into the future. Most of our lives will have a military influence, since the boys of our class will probably be inducted into the Army, and we imagine the girls' interests lie in that direction! Attention! Lieutenant Ford has just received a medal for out- standing bravery under fire in the line of duty. Captain junior Donoho, a bachelor, is a pilot in the Air Corps, and if anyone hears a loud explosion, it's just Berlin being bombed by a force of B-I7's, led by Din1ples Donoho! Look, who we have here! None other than Buck Private J. P. Irvin on K. P. duty-peeling potatoes. Carl Lane was too tall to get into the Army, so he is now taking orders from a wife instead of a sergeant. Clarence Peyton proudly drives his new ,45 Chevrolet, which he bought with the profits from his large and prosperous farm. Robert Henry is in the guard-house for being A. W. O. L. He started that habit in high school. Marguerite is expecting her husband home soon on a ten-day furlough from Camp fCensoredj ! She is No. I riveter at a large defense plant. Juanita Stone has just graduated from college and is now the private secretary to President Roosevelt. fYes, he's still in officelj Henry jackson, who is a bombardier in the Air Corps has just returned from a 5,000 plane raid on Tokyo. And last but not least, for a student who is not one of us but who will graduate with us, we predict a brilliant future. Yes, Charles Clemins, the boy wonder of B. H.
