With five starters from the previous year's team and many other eager players, the Feet looked optimistically toward the start of the season. Although they lost their first game to Tennessee Temple, the Feet went on to be- come a formidable opponent of the best soccer teams in the South. Having a very successful season, the Feet compiled an impressive record of 7 wins and 2 losses, securing themselves a place in the Dixie Conference Championship. The first game of the Championship ended with the Feet defeating Grissom High School of Huntsville Alabama 3-O. The final game was played against Indian Springs - who had defeated Webb previously - in thick fog. Despite the ad- verse weather conditions, the Feet gained a hard-fought 2-1 victory in overtime play. The Webb Feet became the 1976 Dixie Conference Champions, I
