The Prefect Council is comprised of members of tne senior class vvho have shovvn outstanding leadership abilities in their previous years at Webb. The duties ofthe Prefects are numerous. Not only does the Council handle all major civil code violations, it is also in charge of maintaining order in the dormitories -- a full-time job. Since it vvas established in 1870, the honor system has been an integral part of the Webb School. The Honor Council is a body of students res onsible for dealing with violations of the school's Honor Code. These violations are lying, cheating, stealing, plagiarism and violations ofthe premise pledge. The members are elected to the Honor Council by their respective classes, except for the freshman and lower school representatives vvho are appointed by tne administration.
