l 0l'6W0l' Back in 1926, the Cardinal became the emblematic mascot at Webb City High School. The Cardinal was chosen, as the rutnor goes, because the St. Louis Cardinals were Winning that year, in fact, they went on to win the World Series. For over thirty years, the Cardinal has served Webb City High School well. We have had our ups and downs as has the team from whence the name came, but through all those years the students and faculty have shown a splendid spirit. We feel that our Red Bird has long deserved the priviilege of appear- ing inside the cover of our yearbook with all his vigor and charm insrtead of remaining as a mere decoration for the outside. No one merits the glory of showing you our school and activities more ithan the Cardinal, who stands for the spirit behind them. In that same Cardinal spirit: To the program of the STUDENT BODY, With the aid of the ADMIINISTRATION, interest is added through the ORGANIZATIONS fun is gained through SPQRTS, ACTIVITIES add the finail touch.

edicafiolz During the past few years one of the most important projects pro- posed for the improvement of our school system, especially for the Junior- Senior High School, has been the erection of a Junior High School building. After much thought and work on the part of the Superintendent and the Board of Education, the proposal was submitted to and approved by the voters in October.
