UNIORS l Wilson, Veatch, Smith, Cox Officers President-David Smith Vice president-Charles Cox Secretary-Jeaneane Veatch Treasurer-Dean Wilson The Junior Key to Memories unlocks the door to a successful and happy year. We are ardent supporters of, and active participants in all school activities. Our Junior boys have shown their skill and sportsmanship in athletics. Our girls zealously urged them on to victory. We have shown our musical talent in the vocal and instrumental departments and the Senior High Operetta. Many Juniors have inspired greater activity in the Speech Department. Acting ability was shown in our Class play, The Imaginary Invalid , and the three one-act plays given by the Speech Class. The Juniors have been Well represented in Speech and Debate tournaments. Even though there are groans or sighs of dismay when assignments are made, we are striv- ing to become the Mighty seniors of 1957. ' Take the Juniors of our school, Add to them four good sponsors, One Prom, one play, One picnic, Last Day! Memories are made of this. -CAROLYN CLARK and CAROL CAMPBELL Page 23

NATIONAL HONOR OCIETY Membership to the National Honor Society is based upon Leadership, Scholarship, Service and Character. Juniors and Seniors, who rank in the upper one-third of their class in scholarship, certainly work hard and look forward to this high achievement, which is one of the highest honors that W.C.H.S. awards its students. These students are to be congratulated for their fine work and high honors. We have 22 members this year, consisting of 17 Seniors and 5 Juniors, which makes up fifteen percent of the Senior Class and five percent of the Junior Class. Members were chosen by a committee of six faculty members and selections were made on the point system. The annual banquet was held this year at the Central Methodist Church on May 3. After the banquet the initiation ceremony and a reception were held. Page 22
