WEBB CITY ON THE AIB CHANNEL 7, KOAM-TV SEPTEMBER 22,1955 Webb City High School was on the air to initiate a series of programs featuring the various high schools from the district and also to advertise the first home football game the following night. The Pep Band, directed by Arthur Poole, and composed of the following members: Carl Ard- rey, Anne Clark, Roy Copple, Shirley Cruse, Jerry Dodson, Richard Giles, Joe Heiser, Connie Her- ron, Bill Huff, Joe Hulsey, Carol Hutchinson, Shirley Martin, Jerry Meslin, Judi Pickett, Jo Ann Rutherford, Cary Smart, Don Smith, Sandra Tomlinson, and Lonnie Wood gave pep and color to the program. The Cheerleaders--Alice Shivley, Judy Meslin, Judy Crutcher, Pat Roderique, Barbara Watrous, Sue Burris, Martha Leib, Carol Sue Johnson, and Tomi Williams gave added color and pep to the program. Others taking part in the program were: Ted Cowan, president of the student body, Coach May and his two football co-captains, Gary Goswick and Lloyd King. The program was the starting point for the fall athletic season, and for the activities which make up the many treasured memories which we hold of our school year. The opening of the foot- ball scason signaled the opening of the door to many of the memories which we shall treasure of this year at Webb City high school. On the following pages you will see other keys to memories which we have experienced in the program of our school year. For those of us who signed off' this year, and others who will tune in again next year, memories of the programs we have shared together will continue to be on our favorite channel. Page 12

P SENIOR Officers President-Ronnie Bottom Vice-president-Ted Cowan Secretary-Alice Shivley Treasurer-Gary Goswick Bottom, Shivley, Goswick, Cowan CLASS OF 1956 The time has come when we, the Senior class of 1956, must say good-bye to our classmates and teachers and enter the world as young adults. We leave behind us many mementos of our years at Webb City High School, and take with us many memories. We have done our part toward the advancement of our school in many fields. We have proved our music abilities to a great extent in operettas, vocal ensembles, glee club, chorus, band and or- chestra. In the dramatics department we have displayed our talents in class plays, speech contests and in our work behind the scenes. Through the years our boys have made a very good showing in the many phases of sports. And now, as we lay down the keys of high school learning and take up the keys to future knowledge through advancement in the world of opportunity, We bid farewell to our many friends who will soon follow us in this course, and we say thank you to the teachers who, with their own keys of knowledge, have laid open doors to learning and helped us across the threshold toward wisdom. -TOMI WILLIAMS age 14
