Our class is large as W.C.H.S classes go-nearly 100 of us. We have proved this year that we have brains, brawn, and beauty. Our class play, Here Comes the Brides, had a capacity audience, and was a knock-out for hilarity. Three of our lads are on the celebrated A basket- ball team, and our lasses have helped the cheerleaders to jump to a new high in honorsg of the 9-member debate squad, seven are Juniors. Two Junior misses have won vocal music awards for W.C.H.S., and many class members belong to the choruses, bands, and smaller ensembles. In the ranks of those serving as Cardinal Notes reporters and those win- ning coveted memberships in Quill and Scroll are many outstanding Junior names. Some of our talented and dependable members were always busy pick- ing up the loose ends of year book activities or running up and down the stairs from the gymnasium to the auditorium on occasions such as demanded by the push and drive necessary to decorate for the Coronation of Queen of KING JACK. The colorful Spring Prom, in honor of the Seniors, which was enjoyed in the high school gymnasium on May 15, afforded a delightful climax to an eventful and successful year for the class of 1954. l s PAGE 25
