The four members named last year---John Bishir, Norma Terry, Jane Watson and Patty W ilbur-conducted the cere- mony. The four cardinal points of Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service were set forth by the officers as the basis of election to the society. Mr. Chancellor is sponsor of the National Honor Society. The annual banquet was held on April 16 in the Home Economics department. A sump- tuous menu with fried chicken as the piece de resistance was served by Miss Frances Ham- mond and her department girls. Afterwards, Mrs. Algalee Adams and Miss Florence Hub- bard gave a most interesting talk, illustrated by colored slides, on their trip to the West, which included the following places: Colorado Springs, Royal Gorge, Mesa Verde Park, Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Los Angeles, Catalina Island, Sequoia National Park, Yosemite Na- tional Park, San Francisco, Portland, Spokane, and Yellowstone National Park. rg . gi A ,. l Best Girl Citizen Miss lane Watson Best Boy Citizen, jay Hammons sponsored by the DA R and S.A.R.j elected by faculty and Senior Class JANE wfxfrsos ' Essayist ra ' 4 v ,e - 1 l. 51 4 m:'fi,. r- inoinnl rgdwlel: Seated---Norma Terry Qpreslg Standing-Patty Wilbur trea 1 nr x l fi - . l in- XX Luson ist'CX.l.
