They were initiated on March 25 at a very impressive candle lighting ceremony, by the five mem- bers elected last year: Shirley Roland, Mary Lou Hidle, Gerald Carlin, Mona Wilbur, and Evelyn Breeden. To Wear the S0ciety's pin, students must rank in the upper scholastic third of the class and must have manifested a high type of character, leadership and service. Mr. Chancellor is the able sponsor of the society. .The annual banquet Was held on April 25, at the Methodist Church dining hall, at which Mr. Harvey Arnce was the after-dinner speaker on the subject of Decisions, The National Athletic Honor Society, composed of the outstanding athletes of the Senior Class who rank M or above in scholarship, are elected by the faculty.
