The hassle of getting a class ring is ridiculous. First, you order your ring. By putting all dimensions of rings on your finger, the salesperson determines your ring size. Some are so tight that they would cut off your circulation, while others are so big that they fall off. When the salesperson gives you the price, you fall off! Finally the salesperson gets your correct size and the design you want. You should always check up on your ring, or you may never get it. The salesperson either loses your name, or your ring, or, perhaps, both. Everyone else would be admiring their brand new ring and yours is nowhere to be found. When it is located, the price of gold has gone up, so you have to settle with paying extra on your ring. One of these days, you will take your ring off, perhaps to wash your hands. When you look for it and find it gone, you can bet that someone else is admiring your ring ... on their finger.

Everywhere you go you see numbers. That’s not unique, but the number 84 is. It’s not everyday you would see 84. Or would you? The numbe r of your house might be 84, the last two digits in your phone number could be 8 and 4. Your homework page could be 84, and even your locker combination could be 19-8-4. It could go on and on. Sorry, Charlie! All of your general level classes are filled. I have put you into Senior Math, Honors Physics, Critical Thinkin Honors Chemistry, and Spanish Three. The number 84 is very significant to the seniors this year. This is the year they become independent adults. The time has come for the seniors and graduating ju¬ niors to say “GOOD BYE!” and mean it. So, look out for the 84’s and when you do. remember, this is your year!
