MR. EZRA MELROSE The appointment of Mr. Melrose as acting principal was certainly a happy event in the happenings of this school year. A person with whom most of us have come in contact, he has shown compassion, interest, loyalty, and fairness and richly deserves this appointment. When the 2:11 bell rang, Mr. Melrose per¬ haps desired to end his school day, the same as we did, yet his wish could not be fulfilled so easily as ours. In addition to his own work, he undertook the responsibility of straightening out the varied crises which bothered us — at least they seemed most important to us. One of our most loyal Boosters,” Mr. Melrose was present at the numerous sports events in which Weaver participated or was extending a firm handshake in the receiving line at a school dance or social function. In the years ahead, as we remember these gay and happy days, Mr. Melrose will be a dominant figure in our fond memories of W.H.S. because he has made himself a part of us as he worked for us and helped to create and uphold Weaver’s high standards. Although we have not always shown our gratitude, some¬ times taking his kindnesses for granted, he con¬ tinued his labors in our behalf. We shall always remember you, Mr. Melrose, and wish you outstanding success in your new responsibilities. BOYS’ CLUB EXECUTIVE BOARD Seated, left to right: Marder, Wilcox, Lee, Clymer. Stand¬ ing: Mr. Melrose, Hilton, Simons, Burke, Mr. Aitken. 9

MR. NICHOLAS C. CORACCI Our acting vice-principal is a man on whom all students look as a friend. Known as the voice of Weaver,” Mr. Coracci started everybody’s day off on the right foot with his jovial good morning” over the P. A. system. His amiable smile, his sincerity, and his friendliness have made Mr. Coracci a person to whom all students feel they can turn without hesitation. We as citizens of the W.H.S. student body cannot forget all the little extras Mr. Coracci has undertaken for us, nor will we forget his good influence and vibrant personality. He has helped to mold each person with whom he has come in contact, and as we pass from our classrooms for the last time, in our hearts we will be thankful to Mr. Coracci and wish him the best of everything in the years to come.
