This year marks the twenty-fifth anni¬ versary of Weaver High School, and this year, as in previous years, the Portal has gone to press again. Because of our school’s anniversary, we of the Portal have tried to edit a book worthy of our Silver Jubilee. It has been the staff’s goal throughout the compilation of the book to commemorate this occasion and to produce an interesting and factual report of our class activities throughout our three years of senior high school. Though at times, things got involved, and we almost wrote up a sopho¬ more or two in the rush, the Year Book has gone well.

I can truly say that the staff has tried to keep this Portal the book of the students and to produce what you, the students, would like. However, it would have been an even tougher haul but for the able guidance of Mr. Larrabee and Mr. Cunningham. Theirs and the staff’s was the greatest load, and to them, if any is forthcoming, should go the praise. Those of us on the Board, who are bowing out, leave Weaver with a feeling of regret, for school has been a wonderful experience. We hope, further, that this year’s Portal adequately and last¬ ingly marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of Weaver High School. — K. W.
