f052. Foreword Now. ,is the present year draws to its close, wc. the staff, have completed our mission. In this, the M edition of THE MOUNTAINEER, we present to you our bit towards pre- serving this happy year in the plea sant archives of memory. When wc have been tossed about by the waves of life ' s tumultuous sea and have striven in vain to reach the harbor of tranquillity, then may we be lighted by the beacon in the light- house of this literary attainment, and eventually arrive at that degree of happiness and con- tentment which marks the close of a bitterly fought struggle. Wc have found it pleasant, indeed, to render our humble services in the endeavor to leave a fitting remembrance of many happy moments spent among the glories and traditions of our beloved Alma Mater. We only hope that you derive as much enjoyment from reading this result of our labor as we have received in the undertaking. We wish you Godspeed. Selah !
