SENIOR CLASS To the tune of our class song, Graduation Day, we're off to conquer systems, and worlds, and old Wea-therwax is left in the hands of the underclassmen. We of '60 began our high school years as an eager and active class, sponsoring the Sophomore Hop, participating in the March of Dimes Drive, and upholding high scholarship. Officers for that year were Carol Chouinard, President; Alan Jacka, Vice President; and Natalie Yantsin, Secretary-Treasurer. Shortly afterwards we found ourselves promoted to a higher rank. Leading us were Jim Pritchett, President; Jerry Rauhida, Vice President; and Sharon Moore, Secretary-Treasurer. A highlight of our Junior year was the Junior-Senior Ball, which had the theme, Island in the Sky.” The decorations were out of this world! By this time it was evident that we abided by our motto, Plan Alan Jacka, President HISTORY Jerry Rauhala, Vice President Janis George, Secretary-Treasurer your work, and work your plan.” The chosen class colors were gold and white; our class flower was the yellow rose. And then came the realization of our dreams and ambitions — Seniors! — and the year when we reigned supreme. Elected as class officers were Alan Jacka, President; Jerry Rauhala, Vice President; and Janis George, Secretary-Treasurer. Projects undertaken in our Senior year included the March of Dimes Drive and the Junior-Senior Ball, which had a Blue Hawaii theme, a romanticist's salute to the fiftieth state. During our years at Weatherwax we have grown in knowledge, abilities, and ambition. Now we, the class of I960, leave to enter the challenging outside world.
