The Class of '53 wishes to dedicate its Quinault to Mr. Peter Londahl who has given so generously of his time and ability. Mr. Londahl assumed supervision of the Quinault staff in 1948 and has served in that capacity until this year. Always active in student affairs, lVlr. Londalll is now advisor to the student body senate. This small tribute is our way of saying, Thank you for a job well done. x e9 i l sur. 2 he 'fu 00 mye- fi xx 6 X ,,...LL.. The play revolved around a ne'er-do-well family whose father, John Sherrick, has many head dreams of how to get a house to go with their stupendable doorstep which floated into their yard during a Mississippi flood. The mother, Jeanne Bearson, has many heartaches as she tries to hold her six children together, who one by one are leaving home. The family jokes about her raising lilies, but she manages to make enough money from them to finally buy the house and keep her family together. 74 W V , I , I . . , I, QWW , , A,,,, , ' ' i 3 2, 4? The Bees,', led by halfback Bill Spears, built up an impressive offensive record, scoring 107 points in six games for an 18 point average. Other offensive sparks were Bill Snider, Rich Pierce, and Dick Oulette. Bob Basich's boys did just as well on defense, holding their six opponents to a total of 63 points, an average of 10.5 per tilt. Opponents of the Junior Bobcats this year were Olympia, whom they beat twice, 12-13 and 6-31, Hoquiam, also beaten twice, 0-26 and 6-25, and Moclips, who however proved to be too tough for the valiant Bees : the first game ended in a 6-6 tie, but Moclips came back in the final game of the season to win 33-6. juan Hoouan JU -lea Maynard 1 X nf ff fy 44, ff f 3 my f 0 ,444 'M Q 5 gg.. 7' ,La f , , 4, , ,,, ., I ' , f--'v-,,.,y9.r'f .A Q ,.
