The adviser to the group was Mr. Mills. laiiiii l,ltih To give students a better opportunity for learning Roman customs and laws. and to stimulate an interest in the studv of Latin is the purpose ol' the l.atin tluh, Under the presidency of Vivian Inge- brigtsen, and the guiding hand of Miss Bush, the members have had an active year. Pat Donley. secretary. and Tom Bezer, treasurer, helped to make this vear successful. lailitt l,lIlll The years big social event for the Latin club was the annual Roman bancluet held in May. lt was as nearly as possible like those banquets of the ancient Romans. with costumes, wreaths. and slaves, who were really junior high first year students pressed into service, and the traditional courses of eggs to apples. The banquet was attended by the majority of the members, litiaiiitsli Ultih Taking a big part in school functions and assemblies, the Spanish club closed fl very successful year. Drama in the Spanish mode was an outstanding activity of the club, I5 of their 20 members hav- ing been in Hi Jinx. This year's officers included: president.
